Privacy Policy
This policy has been prepared by SIA "Balansis" (Reg. It explains what data we collect, why we do it, and what your rights are. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Latvian legislation.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is SIA "Balansis". If you have questions about how we process your personal data, please write to [email protected] or send a letter to our legal address.
2. What data do we collect?
Contact form. When you fill in the contact form, we receive:
- first name and last name (mandatory);
- email address (mandatory);
- phone number (optional);
- the content of your message (mandatory).
We use this data only to respond to your request. We do not use it for marketing unless you have separately allowed it.
Visit statistics. When you visit the website, Google Analytics automatically collects technical information — anonymised IP address, browser type, list of pages visited and duration of stay. This data does not identify you as a person — it helps us understand how the website works and where it can be improved.
3. Cookies
We use three types of cookies:
- Necessary — without them the website simply will not work. They are loaded automatically.
- Statistics — Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat, etc.). We load them only if you consent by clicking "I agree" in the cookie notice.
- Google third-party cookies — these are managed by Google under its own terms.
Cookie consent is stored in your browser. You can withdraw it at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not transfer your personal data to others except in two cases:
- Google LLC — as the provider of Google Analytics. Google may process data in the US based on standard contractual clauses (SCC). More: Google Privacy Policy.
- State authorities — when required by law (e.g., law enforcement or tax administration).
6. How long do we keep data?
- Contact form data — three years after the last communication, then deleted.
- Google Analytics data — 14 months (Google GA4 default setting).
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict processing;
- object to processing, including direct marketing;
- port your data to another service provider;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] — we will respond within 30 days. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change the content of the policy, we will publish the new version on this website with an updated date. We recommend reviewing it from time to time.
